There is something magical about changes. They are opportunities. More than this, to change means to test your limits, your capacity to adapt under hard circumstances. Basically you have two options: let yourself go under the pressure and wait until time brings you back, or fight and be reborn better and stronger.
It’s never easy to change! For most of my life I had the desire to live in the biggest metropolis of the world. Gotham City! Just kidding. New York was definitely the place to be, to exist. As the years went by the dream faded away. I still don’t know why, maybe it was the arrival of my daughter. Being close to well known faces, blood of my blood, seems more importante than my teenage delusion.
“Be careful of your dreams, they may become reality.”
It has! For approximately one year New York is the skyline I picture from my rooftop. Yes, the Big Apple is my neighbor! We chose Hoboken, New Jersey. A quieter city, but much alive, hometown of the great Frank Sinatra and the most important, one subway station away from the organized chaos.
Now I can say that the new reality has sunk in. Little by little I adapted. I don’t feel like I’m on vacation anymore, there is already routine in our lives and the apartment has become a home. The sun is starting to come back so I can manage to live my life in a recognizable way.
Now it’s time to climb the stairs. Conquer new dreams. Create new illusions. You will not find old habits in my new space. Magic recipes for success don’t excite me. I want to create, communicate and transcend. Find in me the inspiration to entertain, talk and evolve.
Thank you so much for following this internet dinosaur. If you’re are new here, enjoy the ride. I’m sure that it will be a good one.
